Deleting and censoring people does nothing but enrage people and bring more attention to it. Also, your name and account creation date leads me to believe that you are trolling.

That's a very bad reason to assume trolling, unless you think registration date and post count is a more sure sign of trolling than your own two line riposte devoid of any substance whatsoever... Ok. I have tried to discuss this with the other mods but unfortunately they are not online.

I view this as little more than a misguided and sexist attempt at slut-shaming. I have also started to get reports about the ways in which people are speaking to each other in this thread.

Recognizing the difference of opinions I'll not take specific action against individual posters until I have had a chance to speak to the other mods. But for now, this thread is locked.

Edit - I am making some moderations to those who have clearly violated ordinary forum rules, not specifically related to the topic at hand.

Despite some of the quite frankly appalling posts from both sides in this thread, I'm unlocking it.

It's an important news story, and a pretty worrying trend. It's also been censored on quite a few other websites, and I don't really feel comfortable doing that.

Sexism is not welcome in this thread or any other. Kneejerk baseless accusations of sexism coupled with personal insults are also not welcome in this thread or any other.
