It would be very dumb. The amount of attention is too spread out to the other deals on that day. You're better off releasing it before so you can have good sales on the release week and build hype for Black Friday to have good sales then too. 2 hype weeks are better than 1.

I agree. Only way i see BF being a release date is if a company wanted to break a record!!! I know if SSB released that day, or pokemon O.o (or anything big! Imagine Halo/COD/GTA :0

I wouldn't want any of those games releasing then unless there was an actual Black Friday deal on them. Which I have no idea if they can do that on a release day.
