Its funny how "we have about 300,000 people a day who actively enjoy the game" transformed into 300 000 subscribers in your head...

It's funny how you fail to realize that inflated subscriber count is usually relegated to recently released MMO's ...

Please, read the link. Do you think that DQX Wii is a 'recently released MMO'?

Please Square-Enix, just move on and make DQXI. And make sure it isn't an MMO please!

Here lies the dearly departed Nintendomination Thread.

Oh, why bother responding to you if your not even going put the effort to understand what I'm saying ...

Does it tick you off that much to know that DQ X ended up being a failure ?

Bombed all around ? Can you back that statement ?

How about this and this ...

BTW MMORPG's aren't exactly the cheapest games to produce since they cost on average around $50 million dollars to produce and support so Square Enix likely lost money. Even monthly payments likely won't bring the game back to green.

So, including digital sales, it's safe to say it sold over 1 million copies; how is that bad for a subscription based MMO released only in Japan ? It's normal for a MMO to sell less than a regular entry in a series, the same happened to FFXI (which is the most profitable game of the franchise).

I don't think we can evaluate the success of DQX based on the limited information we have. It seems like very poor judgment to be as certain as you are that the game "bombed all around" and it greatly reduce your credibility on the matter.

Dragon Quest 9 was the best selling game in the franchise... Why the hell arent they making more like that?

Now that's what I call denial ...

Last time I checked DQ wasn't all that popular on PC so digital sales pretty much have a nil amount of importance and we don't exactly have digital sales figures for the WII U but don't count on it having much weight. It maybe normal MMO to sell less than the main entry but MMO's actually need more revenue than the main entry's to be profitable plus that's SE's fault that it didn't release elsewhere just like how Microsoft screwed up by not releasing the X1 elsewhere either and 1 million is pitiful performance for a franchise that's popular as hell in Japan.

I think we can evaluate the success of DQ X just based on the information we have ... How exactly did it hurt my credibility to say a fact ?
