No it doesn't. It doesn't matter what they can do with the IPs if it's not financially viable. By what you said, Nintendo shouldn't buy them.

But it won't happen. Sony and M$ won't let it happen, and neither Nintendo. So they'll stay 3rd party, as that benefits everyone.

i hope so. I don't want some other company coming in, buying it and saying "screw Nintendo, MH4 is no go for NA." Nintendo better buy it. They F'd up with atlus, they better not do the same with Capcom.
