My dream for Nintendo, and one that's unlikely to happen in the near future, involves the company simply collecting all of its best Mario games, adding high-resolution textures, and releasing them on every damned platform there is.

That would be end of Nintendo.

which is exactly the objective lol

Popular? Try clickbait. Not a long time ago, I remember they had a controversy because they gave a low score to The Last of Us. Sure, it was their review. But it seemed kinda dubious, especially when they would ban users for "strongly" disagreeing with the review (they even had a disclaimer on top of the comments), and the mods immediately disputing users opinions. Maybe I used a bad example, but these actions gives them tons of clicks.

Actually know what you mean, that MK8 article has had people banned left right and centre since the sales emerged with comments being removed for pointing out how wrong they were.

da fuck is wrong with those guys...

"Let’s add a fresh coat of paint to the great Mario games on the portable systems and let console players enjoy them for the first time. The only option Nintendo has given us to pick up Super Mario Galaxy 2, an amazing game, is to track down a Wii and a used copy, and play in standard definition. [Update: As people have pointed out, backwards compatibility is also an option.] What a waste."

polygon is just a waste of internet... u can buy a new copy of the game today and play it on a wii u, no problem, and soon u can play it with the GC controller...

I guess they haven't heard of the Dolphin emulator on PC either lol.

Not clicking that link, that article seems like it's froma site that will give you spyware.

I describe myself as a little dose of toxic masculinity.

So Polygon authored this article just to try do a run around and say they were actually right along even after their MK 8 sales prediction was proven wrong by reality.

Ok a little math for Polygon:

Mario Kart 8: 1.2 million units on a 1 system with 6.1 million users= about a 20 percent attach rate
Watch Dogs: 4 million units on 4 systems with 175.2 million users+ PC= a very low attach rate

Which is more impressive Polygon?

This is hardly the apology for that terrible article about MK8 being the worst selling in the franchise.

Shame on you, Polygon. Did no one teach you manners?

Why would they apoligize already, it could still become the worst selling in the franchise. Wii-U install base is very limited.

I think there is a real chance it will be the worst selling in the franchise on consoles atleast.(Double Dash is at 7m).
