It's a pretty smart move of Sony to remaster their biggest most recent first party games. After 5 months they got a solid userbase of 7.000.000 people. The last of us is coming, one of the best single player games that I played last decade. Is the first official remaster coming this summer.

Back to the title. Is it a smart move of Sony? Do you appreciate (If you never owned a PS3) what Sony is doing? Or just waste of time?

far too early. Imagine they would remaster the same game every generation.
They should always skip one gen IMO and then make a proper remaster unlike the PS2 HD collections we saw last gen.

I'd say it's a great move. Especially for anyone who never owned a PS3, and is on the fence between the PS4/X1.

That said, I do think $50 would be a better price point than $60.

It could be a way to fill up the enormous drought.

Dosent it come with like $30 DLC or something??

It probably takes very little effort so it's not like they could be doing something better with those resources.

Great move. Going from NDs comments it's not very hard to port so it won't take away more resources than they would make by selling it. More games are better. Someone will buy them and someone will have fun with them. I don't see how any of this would be a bad move.

If you demand respect or gratitude for your volunteer work, you're doing volunteering wrong.

I think it's good idea. How about Starhawk remastered next?

Yeah, all paid DLC is included.

As PS3 owner I find it bad because they were released "just recently" and even if only a few guys work on them, I would be more happy if they would work on anything else to finish that faster instead of releasing a game in 2014 which I got in 2013. I wouldn't buy any of these games so that I don't feel how this should be good for me. If they would remaster PS2 games I would think different about that as long as they would put enough time in it to make it a worthwhile remastered edition.

If I wouldn't own a PS3 but a PS4 I would  like it because they would be like new to me and increase the not really big library of a new console. Getting the possibility to play as example The Last of Us the first time is a great opportunity.
