Forums - Gaming Discussion - Would you consider Titanfall a flop?

Was Titanfall on Xbone a Flop?

Yes. 164 30.31%

No. 222 41.04%

It sold pretty average. 150 27.73%

Total:536

It underperformed M$ despite great sales, but the hardware is where it didn't boost as much as M$ was hoping for

I wouldn't go even close to calling it a flop... It moved consoles and it sold units! What else can you ask for? Sure x1 didn't beat the ps4 but it didn't go under the wiiU either! Although, I would love to see whats going on inside EA and MS right about now

Dat Gif in your sig.... :3

You like Birthday's too? Man, so many people on this site love Wearing Bday hats!

absolutely positively you guys remember all the praising? how bout all the awards pre release? theres nothing new or innovating about it except maybe the mechs but crysis did have em

most all the animations and menus looked ripped from COD the wall running and FPS movement freedom cant touch dying light and even older games like mirrors edge, im not even gonna mention the graphics

Realistically speaking, what percentage of the XB1's total userbase had bought an XB1 for TitanFall?

At Least over 50% did.

In contrast to the hype it was a flop but since the hype was that huge it will probably still comfortably make it to the top 3 best sellers of the year.

Not surprising given the excessive amount of hype it had going for it. However, what else were they going to buy. :p

It wasn't a flop, At least for EA was such a great success but I'm pretty sure they think it was a bad choice to not launch the game on PS4 too. As for Microsoft, it helped their console, but wasn't enough at all to mantain the supremacy in the US this gen.

How can it be a flop when it's the Game of the generation and/or the King of Kings. :)

We would need actual sales numbers before we could even debate that one way or the other.

Have some time to kill? Read my shitty games blog. http://www.pixlbit.com/blogs/586/gigantor21

:D

Saying that the vast majority of games don't reach 1m in it's first weeks, I think the sales have been fine
