Just asking the question. I know it's been discussed before.

And I am not asking whether you want games to be cheaper because you can't afford 6 games at $60 a pop. Or if you prefer to spend $40 rather then $60 (who wouldn't lol). 

I am asking if $60 is the right asking price for most of the games you've bought recently

Example. I bought Tomb Raider for PS4. Didn't play Tomb Raider on PS3. Drought in PS4 games since launch. So I bought it. Really liked the game. Lara did a bunch of cool shit. Raiding tombs was cool. The entire world was neat. Gameplay and everything else was fun

But... not sure it was worth $60

Now $49.99, yeah... max

And looking at Infamous that I am currently playing. So far, really cool and glad I bought it and all. But $40-$50 would be a better price range for the game imo

GTA 5 was the last game I paid $60 for and felt I got 100% my moneys worth

$60 is too much? Most people in the world pay $80+ for a new full price game.

I pay no more than $25 for anything that isn't a nice LE/SE.

So yes. It's absolutely too much, unless the game is FFX-3 or something.

I rarely buy games at full retail so I would say yes.

It is if there's DLC/Map packs and etc (which is like almost every game)

I don't know which game I bought last at the full retail price. (probably Wind Waker HD LE or sth.)

60 Bucks imo is just too much to ask for. 35-45 for new releases seems like a good spot.

Rediculous. I'm really considering waiting to buy infamous after a drop. I'm doing the same with thief and AC4

If only game were that cheap here, I've always paid around 100-120$ for new games...

OT: Not really, no, people still clearly buy them at this price and it's up to anyone whether or not they're willing to spend that amount on a new game, I always wait for sales or platinum releases. Gaming is a luxury, we really shouldn't argue with the price.

The funny thing is, games have never been cheaper than right now.

If you don't think a game is worth it at $60, just wait. That's what I do. Still, I don't begrudge them that $60, as I want developers to make money. I want you rich kids to pay my way.

A universal price is stupid. Some games are worth more than 60 bucks, others aren't. It depends on the value of the game. If a game entertains me for hundreds of hours, then it's worth 100€ easily, which I paid for BF3 + DLC. Some games aren't worth full price, so I wait for a price drop. That's how everyone should do it...
