So it currently is like this

Infamous 1 85
Infamous 2 83
Infamous 3 81

With the general consensus that Infamous 1 had major problems, Infamous 2 was better and Infamous 3 is the best of the series. Reviewers are great people.

People who trust blindly metascore or think less than 75 cant be a good game are even worse than  reviewers.

We know gaming industry is dead when metascore become a decisive purchase argument.

Predictions for end of 2014 HW sales:

 PS4: 17m   XB1: 10m    WiiU: 10m   Vita: 10m

Yep, definitely adding this to my sig.

Is that a good or bad thing? And adding what exactly? You confuse me with some of your posts at time sir lol.

He believes it in his mind that's it's a bad thing to have this meta because it didn't score higher than TF. Some people want to ignore the sales on the front page and try to put negative things about PS4 in their sig to feel better about their console of choice..

Yeah, bt it is only a 81/100. That means the game is no good. It is clearly sig worthy. /s

Yeah I see now....it is just better to ignors some posts all together I guess.

Pretty sure both Ethomaz and Turskish had to change theri signatures several times, to avoid fueling the console war. Yet a signature making fun of Sony fans in the most obvious way is fine. VGC logic I guess.

Come on guys, still debating about % on Meta ?

Just go and read a solid/trustworthy Review like the one of IGN.

Comments : GREAT
Second Son is a departure in tone for the Infamous series, but its superpowered action lives up to expectations.
8.7. Let's enjoy the game experience. Quality of discussions never fell so down on these forums.

You really wanna go there? Have we forgottten Forza 5 already?

Based on its history, it did come as a surprise. Seems more like the exception to the rule if anything

Based on the lack of content in the game a lower score should have been expected from the get go and still the average prediction was a 90 metascore. The point is, no fanbase is better at predicting these scores.

I wouldn't say that we are all equal in predictions. I bet if we kept track of our predictions for every major release we would find different patterns.

As someone who owns Titanfall, and got an early copy of Infamous 3 days ago (I was answering questions in threads yesterday so if you have any non-plot spoiling questions I'll be glad to answer now) I can say you cannot directly compare the two. 1) They are different genres and 2) I feel they are different generations. What I mean by that is I think Titanfall is a good game, nothing spectacular, but one of the better games I've played recently. I do think it got off a little too easily in reviews for its bare-bone features, but I do not have any complaints of where its metacritic range is. That being said, I still feel like it was a game that could have been released on PS3/360 last gen and fit right in. It is for that reason I have yet to feel my One purchase was justified. SS is the first game I have played to date that made me feel it was not possible to be on a last-gen platform, and thus validated my PS4 purchase. So I don't think you can compare the two directly number wise, if I had to say of the two the one I think was a better overall package I'd go with Infamous. So again any questions feel free to ask.

Two different games, two different consoles, two different experiences.  Very reasonable.

Yeah, good luck with that, especially since a) it is completely impossible to see who the people voting in the polls are and which fanbase they belong to, and b) the people posting in those prediction threads are mostly people from all fanbases so unless you take your time and only count the votes of that respective fanbase you're going to have a heavily skewed picture.

Why are you directing this at me?

I said the scores are rubbish, I even showed why they are. I read some of the reviews and the gameplay and visuals are a blast with the only gripes being sub standard story and less interesting side quests. The latter 2 things are completely irrelevant to me and my love for open world. Frankly I don't understand why anyone bothers with story in an open world game since that's obviously not the focus.

Also I don't purchase based on reviews. My mind is long made up before even reading reviews.

We do the best with what we have buddy. Don't get all scientific on me when were talking about metacritic predictions for video games. Or is it don't get all lawyer on me with "plausible deniability". If anything there are wild cards in all prediction threads that make all of them equally dubious. I can put a "*" for the results to imply not beign scientifically accurate?
