As a final message to VGChartz you can post the following if you wish to for the community; the least I can do is maybe convince people to be more respectful to each other over the internet. It’s a long shot, but if it works on even one person I’ll gave done some good with my departure.

“Be respectful of one another. You never know what the person at the other keyboard is going through or what their reasons are for being here. You don’t know what kind of weight your words and actions hold. You might just say “don’t take things so seriously – it’s all fun and games” to justify acting like a total dick, but your actions go far beyond just the person or fanbase you’re being a dick to. For myself, VGChartz was a safe-haven and somewhat of an escape when life got too heavy. However, this place has become an unbearable mess in recent months even though I couldn’t possibly be offended by what anyone said from a gaming point of view (I own and enjoyed every last gen console, have both current handhelds and am well on my way to owning all 3 current gen systems; plus a PC more powerful than any new console). I loved games. And I’m sad to see that our community seems to be less interested in sharing this love than they are just pissing off other people as their hobby. At the end of the day we’re all here for our love of games, be they the technical side, the sales side, or the flat out fun factor. Celebrate and enjoy our similarities.

Amen. Tads12 was among the best of us. I hate that lately when it comes to discussing a game the debate is rarely about if it's a good game or not. It's more often then not about if the game is 1080p or some negligable BS like that. We've changed and not for the better.

Hope to hear from you in some way, shape, or form brother. And to the community: Let's have fun again.

You know he probably lurks. Even if posting can be very not worth while at times the numbers are always interesting.

He was one of the best users during the times I was really active for sure.

Also, Trashy you have to remember the worst offenders are probably 18, or younger and their brains have not fully developed, yet. Research shows that smarter children and teens usually have a bigger problem with bullies/trolls than less intelligent individuals. It sucks having such a massive cerebral cortex I know.

He's done this before and came back. It was way worse than what it is now, before. Just got to ignore shit. He came back as a mod. It's a mod's job to moderate members. He should have taken it easy when he came back and just became a member. With great power there is great responsibility. Don't throw yourself back into the fire, if you don't want to be burnt.

Enjoy your life man. Be blind to the things that cause you pain and focus on what makes you happy

Thats about as spot on as you can get when describing the gamrConnect forums since Gen 8 got into full swing exactly 12 Months ago with the PS4 announcement.

Shame that it seems to have got to tads. Hopefully this will spur on the mod team to be tougher on the obvious trouble causers.

Well, tads has his own personal issues to work through at the moment too (don't we all, though talking to some people reminds me just how small my problems really are). He wasn't in especially bad shape (he went through a bad thing for a while, and is now working through the aftermath in a low-key way), and i hope things haven't changed for the worse suddenly.
