You guys know yields will improve right, its not like the production capacity will be limited like it is forever.
Q1 will be exceptionally high. But even a 499 PS3 shipped 2.2 million in jan-march 2008. This was the period when Wii was dominating, and 360 just got Mass Effect and Bioshock. You dont think PS4 can sell 4 million this quarter, with Japanese and bunch of other markets still waiting for launch?

Dont think it will sell that many. Ps4 is a beast but 19 seems a big stretch.

Unlike Wii U which hasnt seen a lot of Wii people transferring over, a large chunk of the PS3 install base will move on to PS4, there is also millions of 360 fans uprading to the competition this gen. So the PS4 install base will consists of a pretty big minority of xbox converts.

Man so many pessimists here!
After 8 long years this industry' continuing regression of excitement and new stimulation will come to an end. PS4 is that new excitement and stimulation!

It's fascinating how people suddenly think a PS console can't sell that much....PS4 just beat all the records in launch history selling more than 4m allready, and people don't expect to sell more than 15m in 2014 with all the games that are coming????

If Wii sold more than 16m in 2007, PS4 is perfectly capable of doing this and more in 2014 and there's no reason to think otherwise.

I'm sure PS4 will enter 2015 having sold more than 20m by then.
