Are there other reasons to buy this over MKWii?

You mean other than it being a better game in every way?

I'm not seeing it. Graphical advances haven't done anything for me since Sunshine, and the gameplay looks unchanged to me.

People get so excited over a new item or character. It takes them a few days to add at most.

PS1, PS2, PS3, PS4....

what?

I have no idea why anyone bought a PS4 to be honest.

Definitely my most anticipated 2014 release, edging out MGSV. That airport track only sweetened the deal :)

I had a chance to play this summer and, believe me, it plays like a dream.

Damn...it edged out MGSV for you? Shit man! LOL

Yeah...although both look great. 2014 is going to be a good year I hope. The Wii U line-up is stacked plus the PS3 has a bunch of RPGs, PLUS multi-gen games like Titanfall, Destiny, and Metal Gear. And I'm sure there are a bunch of PS4 and X1 games yet to be announced.

Yeah, I will jump into Mario Kart a little late. I am getting the PS4 and Xbone first, but Mario Kart is looking reeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeaally good. Heh

Its quite evident cheaper console to buy third party titles on, plus its the most powerful console. The majority of gamers play third party games, not exclusives. Sony has a wealth of those plus highly rated exclusives so you can't lose really.

nonono

Why buy PS4, when you already have a PS3?

If you like third party titles most of them play differently. NBA 2K, Madden and Fifa have newer engines with different animations if you're into that sort of thing. Plus after next year, the Wii U, PS3 and 360 will not get as many third party titles once the Xbone and PS4 reach around 12-20 million consoles. They would easily reach that in their first two years.

It makes sense that you should just save your money if you want to play the game though, but some people are all about the tech and Sony and Microsoft are always pushing that.

I am getting this game digital just cos if I don't, I'll probably wear out the disc drive from hundreds and hundreds of hours of play, haha.

I have a feeling this is going to be the new game that comes out whenever we have mates over. (At the moment it's 3D World)

1. Bikes can't wheelie whenever they feel like it, meaning the racing will actually be BALANCED and not bullshit this time around.

2. The track designs actually look inspired and creative for the first time in several installments.

3. You've got to believe that ACTUAL Battle Mode will be back, whereas MKWii had TEAM Battle only, which was absurd.

4. The graphics actually look better for the first time since Double Dash.

5. It's the first Mario Kart in a long time where it looks like they're really firing on all cylanders and really trying to make it awesome, and not just good.

6. All around, it looks like the best MK game since MK64, and that's a compliment.

Am I getting this right?

People are actually questioning why one would buy this?
What is this for ridiculousness, I could just ask why anyone would buy any sequel to any franchise out there? Why do we even buy new games at all then?

Uhm... Because of the new content (in this case, tracks) perhaps?
I'm baffled.

OT: Game is awesome indeed .
