I'm already preparing my "Retro Studios is made of win" thread.

I predicted an 88 meta. The game was bound to be good, but I expected it to get a lower meta because reviewers would compare it to the Galaxy games and it didn't look as exciting as the Galaxy games. Very happy that it's doing great. Although I'm a bit pissed I won't be getting any points for my prediction. :p

That's why people need to learn not to judge a game before it is actually out. Generally, Nintendo games when first shown seem underwhelming until the promo really starts to kick out. They began showing the real deal for Mario 3D World 5 months ago, right after E3.

Also, never doubt EAD Tokyo. Those guys are the cream of the crop.

This is always how it goes with these types of games. People judge (especially fanboys) far too soon. Let the game come out then decide.

No crow for me, the game looked uninspiring to me at e3 and still does. Graphics are colorful, but not brand new. It still looks like 3D Land in HD with new levels and powerups. *passes crow plate to someone else*

I hope they do to DKCTF what they did to Mario 3D World.

I want Donky Kong to look just as delicious to the eyes as Mario 3D world

The game already looks good in motion. But we'll see.

I'm won't be convinced until I play it. Super Mario 3D Land received great reviews as well and it was largely mediocre.

And why was anyone doubting whether a mainline Mario game would be well recieved? Did anyone actually expect this to have anything but superb scores?!
