Presently I work at a gas station part time (some weeks full-time if there's an availability crunch on the part of my coworkers), next year i'm either going to start going to grad school (and fund my daily living by transferring to one of the gas station branches in the college's city), or join the U.S. Air Force.

It's not like other web developers job though, I have no creative freedom really, I don't learn much either and have no prospects of progressing. Working for something like vgchartz would be a dream.

It's not really as hard as everyone says it is. It is very stressful however. During training the instructors/trainers will simulate the stress in a real time environment by yelling at you, throwing things, or getting right in your face. The point is to weed out the people who just can't take it. The actual work however, is difficult, but easily feasable if you put in the study time. 

What are you doing now?

Oh, you mean for a living?  I can't tell you.  It would ruin everything.  It pays well and it's pretty satisying.  I'll leave it at that.
