I think the concept is really really cool, and thats why its so popular. But i just feel this game could be sooo much better if it was run by a better developer :/ It has soooo much potential but Mojang just doesnt do much with it, and when he does an update it takes forrrever for it to come out, and doesnt improve by that much. The game would be a lot better if it actually had a good dev team for it, just my opinion. anyone disagree or agree?

There's definitely parts of the game that could use some fine tuning, like the combat.

For the money its made it could be alot better, they seem to just have very few people working on it, with more work going into getting older version on more platforms, than adding new content for the existing users.

I would not be surprised if another dev makes a better clone that goes on to be a much bigger IP with many sequels, there really squandering what theyve made in my eyes.

The community does far more work than they do, but thats only good for PC.

Combat is broken, the range of mineable materials is pretty shitty and the crafting system needs explaining.

I think he is getting too cocky, it could easily lose its popularity to another clone, it has happened many times in gaming. I mean the combat in this game is just awful, and ive only been playing this for about a week or two,

I do feel like another company could make a better game with minecraft's concept but it'll never be as big. Just like with everything else, there could be a better Mario, Halo, Call of Duty, etc. But it'll just be a clone that most people would over look because they're already satisfied with what they have.

I think it only the matter of time that a big developer will make a high budget clone of minecraft.

yep certainly. In a few important areas Terraria is the better game.
Many different enemies and much more stuff to craft.

Minecraft to me is about stacking blocks and not about crafting or fighting.

which is why Terraria exists and other games like that.

Their are many who tried and failed to make a better copy though..
