Yes story characters things inexistent in many nintendo games. Nintendo doesn't push games in any way other then with devices and 3d platformers. Zelda itself is a joke in some aspects compared to other rpgs.

Less talk Reggie, more games. I think that Nintendo should build american and european studios instead of relying only on the japanese. It would bring a more diverse experience and they had more resources to develop.

How? I don't really see Nintendo fixing the WiiU right now as they did it with the 3DS. Yes, pricecut and some games are coming and it will help. But it will not turnaround the thing and I'm still missing effort on Wii Sport 3.
