@007BondAgent: If he was "pretty much the only one", then you've not played enough FF yet.

I have to agree that he is the most dynamic...his character changes drastically from whiny brat to a fairly mature adult and he's honestly effected by the plot and also does effect the plot. They did a good job with that story, but if we're going to go with loss of innocence tale, I think Zack Fair was a much better written character.

Indeed, indeed. The whiner in Tidus starts fading fast in Macalania, and is totally erased in Bikanel. After that, he's a key factor in the story.

I'm glad more people see this - though I am yet to play Crisis Core

You need to play that game!!! I will spoil no details for you...its one of the best executed in the franchise though.
