Well, at the very least, according to a Gamestop manager in California, his store received roughly 3.5 times as many PS4's to be pre-ordered as X-Box Ones.

There's also this quote from the same article:

A Texas store stated: “There’s no point trying any GameStops. We’ve stopped that SKU until we get notice.” A store manager in Ohio said: “All stores have been told to stop until we get some more units from Microsoft.”

So...it actually may very well have to do with the fact that Sony had more consoles avaliable to pre order. Not say that was the only reason, but if we assume that the far fewer X-Box One's per Gamestop holds true across most stores...that likely played a rather important role in the figure.

Just a thought.

Alright guys, let's try to actually have posts with substance and meaning. If you have something to add in like MTZ that's great but if your only addition to the thread is "LITERALLY ROLLING ON THE FLOOR LAUGHING" or "I'm not even going to make a joke, i'd feel bad." then you're better off just not posting at all. Consider that an unofficial warning to the two of you I quoted as well. A better forum community starts with trying to keep things as respectful as possible.

Good for MS. Both consoles should do good numbers this holiday. Competition is what made Sony turn the PS3 around and as a result the PS4. Competition keeps the companies on an even keel, even though every company suffers some hiccups. Things will be very interesting come November.

I think all of the Sony fans that can't help themselves from coming into these types of threads to make snarky comments will be eating a lot of crow come the holiday season.

God forbid I find a thread where we don't rip on this while agreeing with PS4 preorder threads.
