Forums - Nintendo Discussion - Should Nintendo bring back the Wii-style marketing?

For the mother of God, take the dub-step ad in the backyard and shoot it in the head!!!

Wii would like to play with U. Huh? Yeah?

One of the best commercials for a game Nintendo has done. (And maybe the best celebrity one ever for a game)

Just beautiful. Ocarina of Time 3D was great, but it was just a remake. A great one nonetheless.

You can't bring back the Wii-style marketing without the Wii gimmick.

I can't. I don't work for Nintendo but I am pretty sure someone at Nintendo knows  what to do..... Hopefully.

I think Wii Sports had a lot more to do with the Wiis success than Twilight Princess, Metroid 3, and Red Steel. Those three games in particular were overrated as hell. Wii Sports, on the otherhand, was one of the most fun games ever made.

But anyway, Nintendo needs to make some fun games for Wii U. It is sad when their SNES games are much more fun than almost all of the new games on Wii U.

I describe myself as a little dose of toxic masculinity.

Anyways, I do think that they should bring back those commercials but I do think that Nintendo can still make good advertisements, they just need to actually try and put effort into them.

Well 3ds started taking off with the ads like Mario kart 7 and super mario 3d land, I wanted to buy those games right away when I saw the real life mario world commercials

No, please. I've never felt more deceived and disappointed in my life like when I bought and played Red Steel after watching the commercial.
