Forums - Politics Discussion - ''Somebody should pay for my 15 kids !!!''

Let us consider the alternative: don't pay for the children, then they end up yet more disadvantaged than they probably already are, and will likely do more long-term damage to society and the taxpayer than paying for them now, growing up to have health problems or more likely to be criminals.

Aside from which, this lady is clearly an edge case (15 kids, at all, is an edge case) and so not indicative of the average welfare consumer, thereby providing no argument of consequence.

What do we do with stray or wild dogs and cats?

We castrate them of course, but we also put them down, for the most part it seems to work, so why not something similar?

There's 'alternative' option one can consider, it may be crazy, but sometimes we need a little crazy.

On a more serious note, this reminds me of the movie 'idiocracy'. Good movie if you haven't watched it.

The key problem I see is as follows:-

-We don’t support these people and their kids, Result: possible increase in criminal activity and a nuisance to society, thus affecting the tax payers in one way or another.

-We support these people and their kids, Result: reduced possibility of  being criminals, but an increased dependency on the state creating welfare dependant families, if welfare stops, then as above.

In all honesty, it looks like tax payers money goes to welfare in order to bribe these people from being a nuisance, what is comes down to is this, your fucked if you do, your fucked if you don’t.

The key thing is we need to stop these types of people from breeding, we need tax payer/workers to breed, these are the types of people we want and who should be having more children with state support, keep in mind that working people on average have less children that these people like the one in the video. I’m sorry, we need to start thinking like farmers, we need to breed the right cattle so to speak if we are to become a better nation and not a nation that follows the path of the movie Idiocracy.

I’m not advocating death of anyone, simply the temporary sterility of these people, once they are financially capable of supporting themselves and a child, they will gain the right to breed, those that don’t,  they’ll continue their lives as normal. But guess what, the vicious circle has now been broken.

I know that the above is not politically correct, and one could even say taboo, but their needs to be change, this PC pussy footing around has got us into this situation, and we need people with balls to start change, if China has the balls to pull off a one child policy then I’m sure what I suggested can be pulled off allot easier.

Oh I know I will get hate for this, and I know these right activities will come out crying, but they can shove it, they can complain all they want but I don’t see them coming up with any practical solution. It’s starting to reach a point where the young workforce can barely support the retired workforce without having also to support able body bludgers, I think it’s time we fenced breeding behind a license like we have for drinking alcohol, driving a car, and voting. Sure it’s drastic, but after 7 billion humans, I don’t think our specious is going extinct anytime soon, so why not put a red ribbon on a cut-off point and call it a day.

Why can't x amount of children go up for adoption?
because It's immoral?!?!
BS

I say she has to pick and choose as many kids as she can AFFORD.
Also, her tubes should have been tied.

It's just that simple.

Some people don't deserve the privilege that is fertility.

It would be interesting to see what society would be look like if dangerously unfit parents were made sterile. I wonder what effect that would have.

For the most part I've thought of myself as a liberal; however, I do see that the current model is unsustainable.

What you're calling for is a form of eugenics. I'm not entirely opposed to the idea; but in the past it has caused massive outcry about human rights and such.

Until we, as a species, decide that giving birth to another human is a privilege, not a right, then what you propose is not viable.

It's a difficult situation. Getting children when you can't take care of them is wrong, but it's also wrong to punish the children for their parents stupidity. I guess we could just give them a knife and tell them "Hey kid, too bad but your existence is a mistake so would you kindly slit your throat before you reproduce or in any other way cause trouble for us." Perhaps the old way of feeding unwanted kids to the wolves weren't such a bad idea after all? Nah, that's not the kind of world we live in. Is it?

Since we can't just get rid of them it's important that the kids don't grow up into troublemakers, that they don't turn out like their parents. They need support and that'll cost money, sure, but the chances of them growing up into criminals is high and the result of that will also cost a lot of money, even lives if things go horribly wrong.
Of course, it's important that all resources go to the kids, and not to support their mother's lazy lifestyle, which is...difficult. In this very situation you might have to take the kids away. While that would to some extent punish the kids the situation is just too extreme. Give her an ultimatum. Take responsibility or we'll take your kids away and leave you here. We'll provide for the children but you won't get a penny before you start to act like an adult.

Preferably, the situation shouldn't ever have to get this out of hand. Not even close. Measures should've been taken a long time ago. I guess forced sterilisation sounds harsh but what these parents do to their kids is cruel and thus I think such a punishment is acceptable.

There is no 100% effective contraceptive other then keeping you pants zipped up. My aunt had her tubes tied, was using spermicide, both used condoms, yet through all of that my youngest cousin was concieved from a one night stand. She met her high school crush at a reunion. He refused to support any child born and wanted my aunt to get an abortion. But my aunt had her, and worked to put her through school. He had no contact with her and my cousin doesn't want anything to do with him. (His parternity was proven by a court ordered test.)

I shall add to my first comment, you can boil uterus (forgot the medical term for it) or take out the gonades those work also. One of my co-workers had to do that because of heath issues (cancer).

Perhaps we should modify our genes a bit. Make it so that you need a pill to get pregnant.
And then we introduce parent licenses.

Sometimes I wonder how it will end. This socialism is a cancer that will finish every society, the only question is when you run out of money. I will never understand giving money for nothing, it is incomprehensible to me. This is only a problem in the deposition of the time.

Even if they went up for adoption who would want them?

I'm also opposed to giving these people everything they need because handouts encourage behavior like this.

Not much you can do. Well other than build bigger jails.

Easy, then: take her kids away from her. She's demonstrated a gross lack of responsibility herself and we don't want her imparting that to those children.
