For you every games that sold a lot without bundle is a casual game. |
What's your point? You made a contradiction labeling most of Wii's games as non-casual games, but then claim the system needed the GamePad otherwise it wouldn't appeal to casual gamers. Why would it need to appeal to casual gamers if stuff like Mario Kart and Smash Bros are mostly for the hardcore gamers?
Nobody wanted that Gamepad. Nintendo didn't do enough market research. They unveiled it, and it was met with negative press, but unlike MS they decided to release it as is. No wonder the WiiU flopped, I bet you it would have sold a lot better with just a larger hard drive and no GamePad. Maybe a Wii Fit Board +

Otherwise you could say GTAV had a weak or decent week 1 because it will end up selling 40m+ while its first week was only 16m (it sold over 9m on PS3 FW and over 7m on 360 FW) Legs depend on a lot more factors than whether a game is casual or not. But yeah, I agree with you that GT is popular among casuals. |
I said GT games had weak first week sales, but I was comparing them to other big franchises like CoD and GTA. My point was GT games have legs, and one big reason is because they have a huge casual appeal.
