Final Fantasy X was a much more linear game than Final Fantasy XIII and deserves more flak than it gets.

Man, I caused a shit storm in a thread a year or two ago by saying this. I completely agree.

I do think it's a great game though, you should really give it another shot. Maybe I just like linear games.

Highfive!

I think I probably will.  I (mostly) enjoyed XIII despite its linearity, so maybe my tastes have changed since I first played X.

The structure of both games are practically identical, you just need to make sure you get into the story. I stopped playing and had to give the game a 2nd chance too, I'm glad I did.

I don't give a crap about basically any online MP (couch MP for me and especially don't care about FPS online). I can't get into Uncharted, Battlefield, Halo, or COD online. In Uncharted's and Halo's case I really enjoy SP campaigns too. I just replay games that I love their SP instead of filling my down time with online MP or pick up an indie title.

I never liked GTA that much. It's plagued my horrible camera controls (the PS3 version of GTA IV had the camera sluggishly follow the car and the camera wasn't too great anyway), and controls just feel generally bad. It's a pretty bad flaw in an action game.

I never liked Halo. To be specific, I'm talking about the first game. I've tried it several times yet I've never got past the third level because it's just boring. The first two levels... Ngh, I hate them. They're so boring in every way imaginable. After the third level didn't feel much different judging by its beginning, I just quit. No use trying to play a game that's so boring and doesn't seem to get better. Level design was bland and I didn't really like the gameplay either. Maybe I should've been a console-only gamer and should have played it on the Xbox to enjoy it... But really, no thanks!

Hmm, what else. Well, I liked Final Fantasy XIII despite its flaws, probably because I enjoyed the battle system which is something that many criticize. True, there's the mashing X thing but then there's always the constant thinking of which paradigm to use - and building those paradigms, too. Makes it much more tactical and I like it. Also, many end-game battles weren't simply mashing X and even before that, there was the occassional time you had to figure out something that wasn't simply mashing X. I felt like it was a nice system.

I'm sure there's much else too but I can't really come up with anything right now. Maybe I'll post here again later. :p

Final Fantasy IX was the only great Final Fantasy game and Final Fantasy VII wasn't that good.

Zelda games suck.

The Bioshock series is overrated.

I think MGS3 is one of the weakest in the series.

I'm sure I've said many of these before, but I don't care for Half-Life 2, I couldn't bear to play more than two hours of System Shock 2, I can't get into Borderlands and all, and I thought that BioShock 2 was considerably more enjoyable than any of those three (though still the worst BioShock game by far).

In my opinion, Wii Music showed great potential, and a sequel, done right, would be a potentially huge system-seller for the Wii U, akin to Wii Fit for the Wii (although they'd have to avoid using the "Wii Music" name in the sequel, as the first one stained the name too much). In my view, it showed a hint of where music games should be heading, something a little more than mere rhythm gaming.

Probably less popular than most opinions you'll see in this thread, but there it is.
