Foolish question. Since the PS4 is the most powerfull console ever, it has already won.

Global warming.
Nintendo is selling their IPs to Microsoft and this is true because:

Even I, King of the Trolls, I can not say that the Wii U is anything more than a disaster. Name the Wii U good hardware/console is too big trolling even for the King. PS4 and Nextbox be ranked 1/ 2, Wii U warms the bench.
The Mighty and Powerful King do not care about logic. My words are the truth itself.

So far this generation has sold around 250 million 99 million Wii, 75 million XBox 360, 74 million PS3 and counting. 8th generation should again sell more as the world population increases more console systems will be sold to a growing global consumer market. 300 million systems may be reached next generation. |
I think You are right. Considering the PS4 and the Nextbox are going to be behemoths in the categories each will focus; I can see them both selling really great. But considering the bigger focus on games from Sony, I think the PS4 will end up selling more, but still the Nextbox will sell really good.
PS4: 140M
Nextbox: 100M
WiiU: 60M

My numbers r slighty higher or yours are? |
oh sorry. I think each will sell slightly more than that. Like PS4 100m, Xbox 85m, WiiU 70m. Keep in mind that's lifetime predictions not when next gen starts so still a drop off from this gen.

yeah cause power has always won things in the past *looks at Wii, PS2, and PS1*

Just market saturation and people not looking to upgrade to next generation. It's perfectly plausible that there will be a market crash because of the way the industry is heading.
Alternatively, it may not be the case and next generation could be the most successful ever. Doubtful though.

hold up! there's a lot of room between crash and improvement. I think MAYBE it'll go down to 6th gen levels
WiiU? Maybe or maybe not.
X720? Maybe or maybe not.
Both? No.
PS4 might end up selling most, or least, or middle.
I don't get why people think that the PS4 is going to do incredibly well. The most powerful console hasn't won since the 4th generation, because most consumers don't care about graphics. Also, we are still lacking a lot of information about the PS4, like how much will it cost. Most people that got a PS3 got one later into the 7th gen, and aren't likely to buy its successor for a couple of years.
