Man, the 3DS/Vita competition has been taking way longer than I thought it would. 30m or 5m...

But, looks like even if it was 100k per week for the next five weeks, that'll still be enough to push it over. Vita will be longer than that to 5m. So...while very late, looks like it'll be 3DS who makes it first. Finally.

Fiscal year for the big three ends at the end of March, correct? It'll be interesting to see how each of them do.

With the adjustments, I'd be surprised if the 3DS isn't already over 30 million sold.

Here lies the dearly departed Nintendomination Thread.

Whoa nobody posts in these sales chartz anymore!
I must say that, contrary to most people here, i find Vita post-pricecut numbers really underwhelming, 170k for the combined 2 weeks after pricecut is abysmal.
3DS NA numbers are bad, and sincerely i dont get why, they have the best deals and prices, its amazing :(
Whats wrong with you?

The pricecut only happened in Japan.

How does any of what you said pertain to the week of March 9th? Oh right, it doesn't. Thanks for your valuable contribution.

HW: Good SW launch timing after price cut allows PSV to not drop after the first week boost. If in the next weeks it will settle significantly higher than before the cut, it will be the definitive proof that it needs a price cut in America and Europe too.

SW: The biggest PC launch doing better than the best console ones in America and not in Europe? Now this is quite an uncommon event.

I fail to see how that's relevant to your post.
"i find Vita post-pricecut numbers really underwhelming, 170k for the combined 2 weeks after pricecut is abysmal." Shouldn't you be looking at holiday sales then?

Its discounted in 2/3 regions, still, numbers are abysmal. 170k in two weeks is quite awful for console thats been discounted by 20% on 2/3 major markets, bundled with CoD, AC and FIFA (Europe only) and has major releases (Japan)

No big surprises here. 3DS continues towards slower weeks, falls below one of the home consoles with either having any significant titles last week or for some time. Handheld market is going downhill fast.
HD consoles holding up a bit better than I thought since the PS4 announcement.
E3 will be very exciting this year, for the first time in over half a decade...

Outside Japan, handheld consoles are dying fast.

I think it has to do with saturation. DS sold so much thats biting 3DS in the ass, kinda like what happened with PS2/PS3. PSP/Vita is a different animal, since PSP is dead in the west since 2010
