Forums - Sony Discussion - Sony hires Google Chrome marketing agency, headed by creator of Halo 3 Believe + Gears 2 Rendezvous campaigns

Kaz is the boss confirmed. He's really been making some nice big changes, if he can't save Sony, no one can.

I don't think the quality of ads were that bad, but the amount and timing was always 'wtf' inducing.

Which is what I'm saying.  Timing and/or no advertising is solely on Sony's shoulders.

Well timing might not be.  The advertising company maybe did have a deadline that they missed.

Otherwise it don't matter who your advertising agency is.  If Sony doesn't give them money to advertise, for example, The Last of US, then you can't blame the agency.

Now obviously different advertisement may make a game sell better or worse, but as I said most of the complaints in regards to Sony adverts is their non-existance over their poor quality.  You can't blame an ad company for an ad that doesn't exist.

Nice to see the Kaz love has come back. We had it about 2-3 Years ago, where darth led it full speed. Its fun!

On another, on-topic note.

This is brilliant news. The PS3 has been a marketting nightmare in all honety. From creepy babies to downright stupid adverts with no gameplay. Hopefully, thes guys can make a big difference... Just in time for PS4, too

Kaz is really a man of actions.

OFF. I think the kaz's smile soo hilarious.

This is pretty cool, hopefully we'll see a much more aggressive Sony when it comes to advertisement this gen.

This should be a cue to Nintendo to step up their marketing campaigns this year as well!

Well said.

Well, that's good news.

I quite enjoyed the Michael advert, but I never saw it on TV. The stuff we had this holiday in the UK was really pants imo. The Vita advert where the guys are in slow mo shooting each other and driving cars. Really did twat all to sell you on the console. The "family fun" advert with LBP Karting & Wonderbook was barely better.

Hopefully we'll see some memorable stuff from these guys.  Especially if the PS4 is coming.

Thank goodness. Hopefully this new firm has an actual understanding of advertising/marketing.
