How the hell can anyone know yet? The WiiU isn't even doing that bad. give it 2 years on the market then start to predict its future.
If the PS3 should have taught the Gamemedia anything its don't announce something selling poorly because you never know. (although 40-45mil is a huge and great amount)

Things could change  but the launch of a console is generally a good prediction point. People made predictions about the Xbox 360 and PS3 based on their launches. Predictions are generally adjusted after the first two years (or for those who spend the time from year to year). This is how it always goes.

Pachter has been constantly wrong about his predictions and is seen as a bit of a loon. I agree that Nintendo should step it up, but you are shooting yourself in the foot if you align yourself with Pachter.

If the Wii U was a mass market item, I would raise my expectation. I predicted the Wii would sell 80 million in 2009 and so far it passed it. The Wii U will be the hardcore Nintendo console, which means it will not sell anywhere near the Wii.

50 Million isn't anywhere near the Wii.

I'm done reading and listening to people talk about how its gonna sell now. I'm waiting for Nintendo's killer apps to come out, then I'll judge how well the console will do.

If thats the case the Wiiu should sell better than the 360 and 0s3 did worldwide then right?
