I'm drenching my Wii U in gasoline as we speak.

WiiU is dying

*WiiU is $300/350

As I said in the thread, a short-term failure does not mean long-term doom. Sure, it's far from ideal to have a poor start but it really means nothing in the grand scheme of things. The 3DS is a pretty great example of this. A lackluster start, yes, but then Nintendo announced big hitting games, dropped the price to cover off their rival arriving in the market, and as such the 3DS has gone from strength to strength whilst their rival well...hasn't.

I expect a similar scenario for the WiiU this coming Christmas. Release big games (Mario, Zelda, Smash Bros.?), drop the price so it's $100-150 below their cheapest rival and you've got yourself a winner.

Trying to "spin" the first month's sales either way is pretty nonsensical when there's nothing to compare it to, especially when you have no idea of it's long-term performance.

Hey man..you making a thread about how concerned you are about third party support for wiiu soon?

Is the new way to get rid of your consoles Death by Fire?... Seems like a good idea...

@Ethomaz: None of the poll options are logical.

That's it, Nintendo no more. There's no turning back. I'm expecting Nintendo to announce they're becoming a software company at this years E3.

I can see Nintendo becoming a handheld only company if this goes on. Their 3DS business is doing decent.

What will happen with WiiU now? There is no hype at all for the GamePad, unlike Wii, when everyone was crazed at the Wiimote revolution.

Nintendo need good relationship with 3rd parties, but so far it was a letdown.

Exactly the point I'd make, so just button it Nintendo haters! Too much unjustified Nintendo hate, and I'm not surprised because this website is full of Sony Fanboys who make themselves more vocal than Nintendo fans. Just give it up you sad individuals.

give me better options... I will change it.

I gotta go with PS3 amazing!

I'm on Twitter @DanneSandin!

Furthermore, I think VGChartz should add a "Like"-button.

Its quite alarming, but nothing too major.

What was the PS3s biggest game at launch? Resistance?

WiiU's was 2D Mario.

In the progress of writing an article, may post highlights or an edited version here as well though on its launch in the form of the 9th "gamrDebate". It's only fair.

What isn't fair is how overblown this reaction has been. Will this continue every single week? Why? I just don't see it, and there's only a small, legitimate reason for concern.

Here lies the dearly departed Nintendomination Thread.
