Can someone explain the reasoning behind this?  I don't get it.  What am I missing?  People were even expecting Sony to do a bundle for it.  Why?  Please explain.  I am confused by this reasoning.  Bundling was seen as a reason to get the millions of sales, it was argued.  I am curious why people thought Sony would bundle it (I did see some Black Friday retail stuff, where retailers did it though).

Those could be between 1 and 2 million units, and again at this rate it will be kinda hard to even reach the 1.5m mark, maybe by the end of the year.

Two versions, 450k combined atm.  Not under 400k.

 

And only a few people made absurd predictions about it selling absolute millions.  A lot of people predicted 1-1.5 million LT, myself included, which is a prediction I stick by.

this is not true, if you go back in gilgamesh thread you will see the majority expected 2mill+ easily and many predicted numbers higher than 4mill, I myself predicted 900k if I remember correctly

Passive aggressive as fuck.

OT: People hyped it up a little too much. I can see it doing a million LT. Still a pretty good game but what can you do? I bought my copy day 1, i did my job as a sony fanboy.

I have personally noticed that some people seem to believe that Nintendo's success is undeserved and simply due to luck, and if Sony (or Microsoft) copy something Nintendo has done that they will be able to match or surpass the success Nintendo has had.

If you understand and respect what Nintendo has accomplished, you probably wouldn't make a prediction that Playstation Allstars would sell like Smash Bros. based on the similarity of the two titles.

Why bring up the Wii U? You can make a thread about it if you want to I don't really care. This is about All-Stars so better stick to it. Besides there aren't many voters on that thread, there are probably bigger ones on the site.

Zoom in if you don't see it. It's following a similar pattern. I think the better question than the thread title would be: Why is everyone saying it won't hit a million+ after a month of sales? This isn't Gears of War or something that sells the vast majority of copies day one.

I see it now. The game will definirely will reach more than 1m, the thing is how lon it will take, specially considering all the bad press this game have and it's comparisons to Smash bros. I honestly don't see more than 2m though.
