for us to be a case study we would have to not know they were watching, if they slammed down on every planet in the middle of the capital cities and watched what other races and species done then all they would ever see is planets getting their biggest guns and bombs and nuking their cameras or watchtowers :D Free minded species tend to not like being monitored.

But this is a good question you brought up. what does anyone here think are the chances an advanced alien race or more then 1 are already studying us?
People say "what reason would aliens have to come to earth" Well what if its to find out about themselfs?? maybe learn how they advanced etc by watching how we advance?. any theorys on this? or why an alien race would visit us??

I would 100% think there are Alien life monitoring the Earth, but not from space ships floating around here making crop circles and raping drunk people in the ass with robot knobs, that is just their fantasy of what happens while they pass out near their Hick friends.
What I'm talking about is the exact same as what we are using hubble for right now to stare off into the cosmo and monitor planets which by the time their images reach us could well already be destroyed. Keep in mind that any Alien Race with powerful telescopes could basically see us, would just depend on their Advanced level as to what they could see. Keep in mind too that if Aliens would be using the same tech we have atm if they were 2000 light years away and looking at us through a Telescope they would be seeing the light that left earth 2000 years ago and be watching the birth of... Santa.
I do love that about how light travels in space, just think if you had faster than light travel and could instantly jump to 20 light years from earth and look back through a high enough definition Telescope to earth you could watch yourself being taken from the hospital by your parents :o Mind blown.
