According to Sony, the PS2 has sold over 153.6 million - http://www.scei.co.jp/corporate/release/pdf/111122_e.pdf

By year-end, the NDS should be the best selling console to date, but I'd wait until Nintendo releases Q3 results :)

What year was this? Because they also say that 55.5 million PS3s have sold, which is old numbers.

That link was so funny, and well, not surprised, given how awesome the DS was in the 7th generation. Best handheld to date IMO.
