It seems to be performing about on par with what I was expecting, so I wouldn't say I'm impressed because I'm not surprised, but I wouldn't say that I'm not impressed. Sort of an in between, I guess.

I'm not impressed, sales are on part with I was expecting, so it was just a successful launch (mostly because of NSMBU). However, as far as I know, the console did not set any records.

I am pretty much impressed on how the wiiu did world wide launch

VITA 32 GIG CARD.250 GIG SLIM & 160 GIG PHAT PS3

Neither. There should be a third choice.

I know people always bring out charts and comparisons but, to be honest, none of that makes much sense to me. Most launch conditions are unique, which means comparisons are normally worthless. A lot of devices that did well at launch went on to mediocre life-cycles. Likewise, some devices with poor initial sales were that way solely become of supply constraints. We've also evolved into a culture of brand loyalists, with many people buying products at launch simply because of the name-tag.

I'll be either impressed or unimpressed in January, when comparisons mean something. Even then, we still have some pivotal software releases waiting in the wings. Reaching a conclusion at this point seems incredibly premature.

Im impressed. Its been a good launch. Sales will slow a little before more games arrive. But when they do the sales will pick up.

I'm not impressed, but not shocked either. It seems to be a medium to good launch. But who really expected it to sell better than Wii or PS2. So it has set a good start. Now we have to wait, how sales develop over the year and how the competition launches.

^^This. We still have to wait for sales figures from Japan though it initially looks good from the queus. We will be able to judge better once the holidays is over and we see how well it is selling.

Meh it did ok I guess, I don't expect it to make waves like the wii did.

It's about what I predicted. My prediction made about 3 months ago was 1mil WW FW, or:

400k America
300k Japan
300k EU

So America was a touch higher, and EU a fair bit lower. Japan (seems) to be about right. So overall sales seem to be within 5% of my prediction, so it's about there. But if you want a breakdown:

America- Impressed
Japan- Expected
EU- Disappointed

Here lies the dearly departed Nintendomination Thread.

Seems to be pretty good.

Given the fact that it is readily available everywhere during the holiday season with supply constraints of launch, the sales have to be considered catastrophically bad. I would project less than 20 million US sales LT.

Selling less than Wii, definitely not impressed. If I was a ntdoy stock owner, I would be selling as fast as possible.

I sense much bait with these two.
