When will WiiU be the weekly Global sales leader?

This week - Japan will put it over the top! 58 19.21%

Some time in December. 17 5.63%

In the New Year - Japan w... 37 12.25%

Next Summer - It's supply constrained. 20 6.62%

Christmas 2013 - 3D Mario Needed... 61 20.20%

Never! PS360 is on a 10-year cycle! 105 34.77%

Total:298

Next Holiday. To me it's not so much a matter of needing a certain game as it is waiting for the Wii U to catch on and the PS3 & 360 to die down a bit more.

Although if we're including handhelds here, possibly never.

Nintendo is in an interesting position here.

The Wii software is still selling at an impressive rate - 4 million WW and yet there are no 'new' releases.

The DS software is still selling at an impressive rate  - 2.1 million WW and yet there are no 'new' releases except for Pokemon

The 3DS is now gaining rapid momentum and from here on forth, 3DS will likely dominate 2013 with the software planned (Monster Hunter 4, Fire Emblem, Animal Crossing, Luigi's Mansion, Pokemon, etc.)

The Wii U will most likely sell 3 million by year-end, however the future does not seem to bode well currently as there is hardly any software announcement for 2013. Will the Wii U Vita itself? I don't think so but there is a cloud of uncertainty that follows it for sure.

I voted for next Christmas, but that excludes Handhelds. I don't expect the WiiU to sell more than the 3DS in the next year. After that the competition is available and we will see how that works out.

10 years greatest game event!

Never.

Technically it was the leader the day it launched, because it is a next generation console. It needs to be said now lest people conveniently forget. The next generation has begun, and the previous generation has ended. Nintendo is just running up a lead against non existent competition. It doesn't fundamentally matter how much they sell compared to last generation hardware. Nintendo won that previous generation, and they don't need to win it again.

that's rigth nintendo win  the last generation with wii, rigth now is the global leader with the WiiU because there is not a single unit of ps4 o xbox8 in the chartz.

34 years playing games.

Never Say Never - Insert Justin Bieber

I'd imagine sometime next year; I imagine PS360 sales will really start to tumble akin to how the Wii did this year. Only titles like GTA V will help prolong them. They'll both be under 100k by March I'd say, so long as there's no price cuts. WiiU will not, and so will become the market leader by default.

Here lies the dearly departed Nintendomination Thread.

Nintendo set themselves up to get mauled on Sony and Microsoft's turf next year. They should've truly stuck with the casuals this holiday season. Now its time to play with the big boys.

March will be when the PS3 is at its strongest and Gears will launch for the 360 around that time as well. Wait until after may to predict under 100k. The new consoles will be revealed at E3.

Yah, poor little Nintendo. They should know they can't play with big ol' Sony and MS.
