Forums - Sony Discussion - This Sony phone advert is clever.

That's great! They are making great phones now, so hopefully they can increase their market share in the next few years

I'm thinking about updating to a new phone in the New Year. Anybody own or have any impressions on the Xperia T or TX? Can't remember which one of the two it is. It's the Bond phone I believe.

they're both the same , TX is sim free version, and has a changeable battery, T is carrier phone.

they're both "Bond phones" I am getting the TX phone maybe next year when it releases here, I don't have any impressions yet.

Ah, I see. Thanks for clearing that up. I too will probably get it sometime next year. The Xperia Play has served me well, but it's time for an upgrade.

Really loving the experience of thier smartphones. I find it much more satisfying than many other manufacturers'. Still not perfect though. they need to make the ultimate phone experience. Passionately waiting for Xperia Yuga/Odin early next year.

Nice commercial :p

They're not the same phone. The T isn't a carrier phone. They have identical internals but they look different. Two separate teams designed them. The TX isn't a bond phone. The T is. The TX also has a smaller battery so lasts less time bit it weights a bit less. I also think the speaker is louder in the T but I can't find anything to back it up.

EDIT: Also found out the T has a slower processor. If you meant a TL which is a T LTE then ignore everything I have said up to here.

They are also releasing a white T as well.

@Trev. I ordered the T yesterday, I should have it tomorrow hopefully so I will let you know, in about a week if you still want to know, how it is.

Sony should make a Windows 8 smartphone

Sony is in enough financial turmoil to jump on that sinking ship.

What's the opposite of sinking?

Windows phones are a *opposite of sinking* ship!

Rising star I suppose?

But on topic it is a great ad. All of sony's smartphones this year have looked so nice. Performance wise they have been up there too looking at benchmarks.

You are really short sighted, WP is not sinking its rising.

Rising is about the only option considering the user base is so low.   I don't see it going anywhere past 10-15% market share for a few years.
