its not failing....does it suck next to psplus? yeah....

I'm not too sure about this.  I'll say that PS+ is a great service, but the only thing really that beats Xbox Live about it is the free games.  I really don't see anything else about it that beats it.  PSN has yet to offer cross game chat.  And lets face it, 4 of these 6 arguements aren't very good .  As I said, PS+ is a great service don't get me wrong, but I don't agree that it "sucks" comparted to XBL.

The games aren't free and you lose them if you unsubscribe. Paying for temporary access to games choosen for me isn't something I want to do.

thats great for u....but the discounts on games u do keep save u way more then the price of psplus. plus, maybe i (and when i say i i mean myself and a huge market) dont want to keep my games. maybe the subscription model is better for a lot of people that dont want to pay for the full game that will be useless the moment it is beaten and played with.

Pretty bad points. I probably could come up with better points than this. For instance number 6 had a pretty stupid example. If anything they should have used the pathetic free points that they give you for your birthday.

"MyAchievements is split into three tiers of rewards. Tier 1 is for any Gold subscriber with a Gamerscore of at least 3,000 points. You will be entitled to a birthday gift during the month of your birthday worth a grand total of $0.25. Tier 2 eligibility requires a Gamerscore of at least 10,000 points. As well as the birthday gift you will receive a 1% refund on purchases using Microsoft Points. The only purchases that excludes is buying an Xbox Live Gold subscription or actual Microsoft Points.

Tier 3 is the top level and requires a Gamerscore of at least 25,000 points. Such dedication will again earn you the birthday gift, but ups your Microsoft Points refund to 2%.

The refund is a nice extra for anyone who has a high Gamerscore, but the low percentage means it’s going to take a while to accrue enough free Microsoft Points to buy anything. For example, spending 1,200 points with a Tier 2 Gamerscore will earn you just 12 points, where as a Tier 3 Gamerscore gets you 24 points."

That promotion is pretty pathetic when you compare that to Club Nintendo where you get coins for registering systems, games, and doing surveys which then can be used on Nintendo items or games (most games cost 100-200 coins). I have gotten at least $40 dollars worth of games from Club Nintendo since they started offering games.

If sony have to dish out free game to get subscribers, then its a loss for them. XBL is fantastic.

I'm glad you like it. But I keep what I buy or sell it if I don't want it any more. I rarely buy digital content and when I do, it's usualy on sale. If PS+ was a rental service I could see it's value, but it's not that. You basicly subscribe to a service that picks the games for you. If your lucky you find a game you actual want. Don't forget that you are paying for these games that Sony has so kindly choosen for you instead of giving you the freedom to access what you want.

A Netflix subscriber has access to the entire Netflix library. A blockbuster customer can choose any movie or game in the store. A PS+ subscriber pays to have Sony pick the games for them. It's like subscribing to the jelly of the month club. I'm happy the month I get strawberry but the month I get lemon I just throw it out.

Like I siad, I'm glad you found value in PS+. It's just not for me.

Agree with all of them. MS has to make Gold something like PS+ to stay competitive next gen.

I'm being honest here. If it gives as much value as PS+, I will subscribe to Gold.

HAHAHA

Its a loss for Sony? No! but its a WINNNNNN for gamers. Its YOUR LOSS for missing out on freebies.

Live is fine, it doesn't "need" to give stuff away for free, the model works for Microsoft. This list can be summed up with the following:

YOU want Live to be the same as PSN+

Sonys infrastructure is weaker than live as shown by the lag complaints whenever a new multiplayer hit gets released...
