Forums - Microsoft - 6 Reasons Why Xbox Live is Failing 10 Years Later

Ps+ compared to live it a bad example, off course Ps+ is going to beat it hands down. The amount of content you get for your money is mind blowing I've been with ps+ for 5 months and have gotten a total of 46 games and my sub has cost me less than the price of one of those games retail. I can't even keep up with the new games that are coming out anymore I just download them then cancel the download straight away so I can get it for later( before they add a new list of goodies) I don't know how Sony makes money on ps+ but I hope the service never stops.

?

46 games in 5 months not including retail purchases..... There isn't enough time in the world if you have any other life away from gaming... It's good but seriously, how. any have you played for more than one minue

Failing is when you have to give users free games so they join your services.

When you dont give nothing and people still come thats not failing, thats knowing you have a beast of a service and people will join no matter what.

Whats why >40m people are on Live and probably not even 1m are on Ps Plus.

Id say at least 30% of users have ps plus, nearly all my friends on the psn have it and when and when I look at users i've recent played with most of them are ps+ users. Don't know where you mustered up your 1m guess from.

Please pull more numebers out your ass.

OT: XBL makes way more money then PSN will ever make in it's lifetime ,how is that failing?

Without order nothing can exist - without chaos nothing can evolve.

"I don't debate, I just give you that work"- Ji99saw

My only issue with XBL is that I pay money and still see the bloody annoying adverts.
its not 1997 , you can run a service without subscription, they should stop being greedy, I've not renewed my gold account in a while, because its never worth it for me, I play for short times lately.

Im refurring to a post from someone that doesn't use the psn so how would he or You for that matter have any idea?

Im saying from my experience of the psn I reckon at least 30% a ps plus users, how about you give some guesses on how many members use ps+ before whipping out your weak sauce.

Xbox Live fails indeed from a value perspective. I've pretty much quit gaming on my 360 because I honestly felt like I was being ripped off signing up for Gold (did for 1 year and didn't renew).

PlayStation Plus, however, gives so much I am honestly worried if it is a good deal for Sony.

Mega ROFL.

Lets look at some of the points this very bad article cares to NOT have knowledge of and NOT discuss due to making this article seem really poor.

1. Xbox Live does have automatic updates. ROFL. You insert x game you are to play, and wallah Microsoft tells you automatically the game has a latest update. You click yes and in usually about 10 seconds the update is done. ROFL.

2. Demos/Game Trials. This was hilarious. Turns on PS3 in UK and oh my god theres a wopping 32 game trials TOTAL!. Turns on Xbox 360 theres over 300 demos. NUFF SAID.

3. Competetive value. This is subjective so will be different for everybody. But having used both systems its HUGELY evident paying for Xbox Live not only makes the OS and Live integration faster, smoother and packed with infinitely more content than PSN could ever dream pretty much nails the coffin when attempting to use PSN after Xbox Live.

4. Advertising. Yes we know Xbox dashboard has a single advert on 4 of the 8 sections. Totaling 4 adverts in its entirity. Not only is the way the dash designed significantly quicker to use but far far more prettier to look at. Instead of taking 400 dpad presses to get to a setting on PS dash or god forbid access the HDD.

5. Free games. Wait so Sony want me to pay for Plus on a service severly lacking in content and speed in my country but they are willing to give me free games I can pick up for less than a 5er on disc?????????????????
Nice one.

6. Finally the free gift ( Xbox 360 ). ow in the world does the article think this is bad. Hell you can sell the Xbox as its also rare for top price unopened. Basically Microsoft giving you 200 smackaroonies. I dont know about you but that is the best free gift any of the 3 have ever given.

Id love for them to look and compare the average users/month of the 2. And more importantly how much money they bot make. Thats what will show which one is FAILING. LOL.

Original post and article ?

CLUTCHING AT STRAWS.

I am a PS fanboy this gen, but sounds from the bad reasoning in this so called article, they are just as biased as I am. Actually much more, since this even bothers me. Some are valid points, but you can NOT directly compare these services. The Playstation Plus model is unproven in a financial standpoint, and that is the only reason it exists. MS with Live says, you will bitch and moan, but pay anyways just to play online. And they are right. You will.

They know their audience well, buncha idiots whom want it all but don't do anything to attain it.
