Factor 5: Left Nintendo at the beginning of this gen to work exclusively on PS3. They put out Lair. They are now dead.

I don't think they left Nintendo completely.  They supposedly had several projects in the works for the Wii.  They also had a PS3/360 multiplat game.  The biggest problem they had was hooking their wagon up to Brash Entertainment to publish games for them.  When they went down, Factor 5 was suddenly without a publisher or source of funds.

LucasArts had published most of their recent games before Lair.  I wonder what happened with that relationship.

I remember reading that things were going really slow.  Nintendo wasn't giving them work, nor was Lucas Arts, so they had to start looking to other publishers.

That sucks.  I bet Lair really hurt their reputation and options.

I loved Lair :P.  They did have a publishing partner in Brash Entertainment.  They were working on a Superman game (And Flash I believe).  But Brash went out of business and Factor 5 had no other options but bankruptcy.  They even ported Lair tech to the Wii to try to get some games on the Wii made, but Nintendo didn't want them before, sure wouldn't want them now.  Same with Lucas Arts.  They were just in a bad situation.  Though a lot of this could have been avoided if they just delayed Lair, polished it, and sent proper copies to reviewers, they wouldn't have lost Sony as a publisher.

I know.  I mentioned that in my post above.

Voice of reason here, this won't increase the value of Too Human at all. Firstly, the game isn't rare, secondly it is more than 4 years old and has by now sold as much as it would ever have sold; it hasn't even been in print for a long time. There are thousands of games by companies that no longer exist and whose rights are in limbo (=their games won't be reprinted); most aren't valuable at all (for instance: Lair by Factor 5). Ergo, no need to rush and buy Too Human now.
