Forums - General Discussion - Demi Lovato and Britney spears get owned on X factor

I never understood why Demi Lovato got on it, my best guess is to get young teenagers who saw her on Disney to watch the show. To me she just isn't at the right stage of her career to be being a mentor other singers, she also doesn't command the respect that other mentor on similar shows do, which is highlighted by this video. Also feel Britney Spears would suffer from similar problems, although probably to a lesser degree.

Omg, that was fantastic!!!

Poor things. I feel a bit bad for Demi because she actually does have the potential to be a decent singer.

Britney's issue is that she can't sing. So doesn't have the necessary moral high ground to call contestants out.

Wow...

This is a very appropriate time to say:

"ooooOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH"

-Mordecai and Rigby

Yay!!!

They spent $15m to get Britney Spears on it, so they only had $1m to spend on the other judge. Guess who was available to do it for a measly $1m? Demi Lovato.

OT: I'll watch it in a min...

Clearly, this was all staged.

Everyone needs to play Lost Odyssey! Any opposition to this and I will have to just say, "If it's a fight you want, you got it!"

I think she does, really.  Being in a business that long highlights her success.

No actually, I don't think she does.. especially when she lip syncs during all of her live shows, and doesn't even dance much during her shows.. and what she said on x factor was really ridicoulous.. and has made me lose even more respect for her.. even though my respect for her was already fairly low.. post DR LUKE
