Considering 360 is selling on 2008 prices its not bad at all.

Just means it finally time to drop the price.

I mean, they held onto these high prices for 4 years. We can all say Sony doesnt have that track record this gen. So given that, im impressed MS was able to hold out this long.



Xbox: Best hardware, Game Pass best value, best BC, more 1st party genres and multiplayer titles.

Sure, but you can also say that Sony has been outselling Microsoft, worldwide, for the majority of the gen on higher prices. Perspective is key.



Yeah, but you can't use perspective because ya know...in the grand scheme of things... Sony has come from two gems of domination while Microsoft is coming from one gen of failure. Therefore, the 360 is always more impressive. You can not win.

Sure, but you can also say that Sony has been outselling Microsoft, worldwide, for the majority of the gen on higher prices. Perspective is key.

Sony has a superior brand name from PS1/PS2 and therefore has a sales advantage from mainland Europe and Japan. But I digress. 

360 despite being outsold for the past few years, held onto 2nd place, while maintaining a strict stance on prices. Where as the competition had to cut prices, bleed money, ($150 in the past 2.5 years) just to "chip away" at the gap. MS is impressive.

Well, if you put it that way, yes, Microsoft is impressive. Alas, I guess it makes sense to make Sony look bad in a thread about Microsoft needing to tighten things up, correct? ;)

Touche. But in the end this thread and the numbers it shows tells me that MS has milked its prices for far too long and its finally run its course. My bold says it all. More fact then MS bias on my part. But thats me.

Dont say its true in its 7th year for this to happen.
It also hasnt had that many strong software titles so far this year, in fact I don't think any of the 3 consoles have

Yes they could if they made more profit. But they don't want to make profit they want to become second this generation and have shown before they are giving up all their money for it.  We are talking about the company afterall that made a console for revenge...

So what? This thing was released in 2005! Of course they are going to decrease at some point. Look at the Wii, look at the PS3.
