I mean, they held onto these high prices for 4 years. We can all say Sony doesnt have that track record this gen. So given that, im impressed MS was able to hold out this long.

Sure, but you can also say that Sony has been outselling Microsoft, worldwide, for the majority of the gen on higher prices. Perspective is key.

Sony has a superior brand name from PS1/PS2 and therefore has a sales advantage from mainland Europe and Japan. But I digress. 

360 despite being outsold for the past few years, held onto 2nd place, while maintaining a strict stance on prices. Where as the competition had to cut prices, bleed money, ($150 in the past 2.5 years) just to "chip away" at the gap. MS is impressive.
