Wow, I didn't know Halo: CEA sales were that low. I thought it would have 5 million lifetime sales at one point

The fact that it's basically just a texture pack probably brought sales down a lot.

I know I almost didn't buy it beause of that. And later when I found out that 2+ player co-op was not supported I almost regretted buying it. (The skulls made it worth the money though. Limiting the bullet supplies by nearly 75%, plus things like no radar made it much more challenging.)

Whats more suprising is that it is currently selling better in just the UK than the USA. The USA market just didn't want a remake for whatever reason.

All mainline halo games and odst have sold 3 to 4 times as much in the United States as they did in Europe. CEA only sold twice as much in the United States and the gap is only getting smaller.

Anyway I am very hyped for halo 4, but at the same time I could see things go horribly wrong. I don't like some of the changes made in multiplayer, but I am very hopeful the campaign will be terrific. I really hope the campaign will have local 4 player coop, but considering they removed that feature in halo reach, I doubt halo 4 will have it =(. Hopefully they don't remove 4player split screen altogether from any modes.

Congrats on completing the thread guys! Looks great!! :D

You could play the campaing in Halo 3 with 4 buddies locally ? But sure as hell not on one console. Maybe system link ?

Definitely can't remember Halo 3 being 4 player co-op on one box, I'm pretty certain that was only system link and XBL.

huh, maybe I'm going crazy then. But I am almost 100% certain you could play all the matchmaking playlists with 4 local players, while in halo reach it was limited to only a few playlists that allowed it. So I guess at best I can hope for 2 player campaign, but hopefully there will be at least some matchmaking playlists with 4 player splitscreen.

Depending on how Halo 4 turns out, I may be swayed towards investing in a 360 if they're still pretty cheap.

Also have to say: That box art is really, really nice!

I heard they want to increase the price to maximize the profits lol

please don't let it have too many cinematics and quicktime events (i read anywhere that you get quicktime events) just to please the average gamer nowadays. i don't want scripted action all the time.
