The Unreal Engine 4 will not be in no Next-Gen console.

That's what they said in origin, you know why: because as the modern technology it has to be a console that costs more than 1500$ because of the 1tb of cpu of the modern consoles, probably 2 or 3 on the WiiU considering IBM of now, it requires 10tb of cpu, they are running it only with like 1 supercomputer they have done for this.

How can you talk about a thing in realistic manner when it's impossible to have right now.

Dude, where the hell did you get this shit?

He's probably trying to say you need a CPU with some 10 teraflops to run UE4 properly right now, which is way beyond what we currently have even with top of the line Power PC architecture.

The 10 teraflops part is likely an overstatement, but the core of it is probably true, since Epic predicted console power to be way beyond what is currently presumed some years ago, and that's why they are desperately lobbying right now for MS and Sony to deliver in raw power, otherwise companies will keep using their current engines, only updated, instead of licensing their shiny but as of today unecessary UE4.

Sorry about my english i'm italian and i'm learning every day, but it's hard to do long grammatically perfect sentences for me still.

That's what i meant, since they pratically said the same some months ago.

So a PC like that here costs 1500€ so consoles will be there if not higher, and with i intend now.

I think we will have to wait like 4 years before a decent 400€/$ (since here they don't do correct money stuff XD) sooo i think this will be possible in the 10th generation of Home Consoles.

Your English is understandable. No need to be sorry.

I agree that as of right now, UE4 can only be used for high-end PCs. It's possible that Epic could create a very dumbed-down version for consoles, but at this point it seems altogether unlikely for it to run on the Wii U in any form. Ever.

But who cares? The Samaritan demo was UE3, and it looked incredible.

In a matter of facts Epic Games said just yesterday that for now it's a only PC engine, they don't know any console as of now that can be having that.

So even if PS4 and Xboxwhatever are in the way, the will know that of course, they wouldn't have done for them because what they just did say.

This a major hint that Sony and Microsoft are not doing new consoles.

This is kind of a cycle for Epic Games. With UE3 it was orginally made for high-end PC's and the 360 and no way would Wii and other devices ever be able to run it. Now it is on iOS/Android devices that are about the Wii's power, it just depends on the market. They are starting out making a PC engine because that is where their major market is. Then they will start coming out with modifing and optimising the engine for the other platforms.

really, makes sense

btw, is the Infinity Blade on iOS UE3? it's graphics are too god damn good for such a device

The reason that UE3 couldn't run on Wii was due to the GPU using a TEV instead of a shader bassed architecture. The Wii would have required a rewrite of the entire renderer which Epic didn't consider worth the time and effort. iOS/Android devices are shader bassed so it wasn't that hard to port accross.
