So by now everyone must know that Sleeping Dogs was once the Activision game True Crime: Hong Kong, but this wasn't always true it was origonally a original IP before Activision decided that it needed an ip attached to sell before decided they wanted nothing to do with it. So now now it is once again a origonal ip brought to you by Square Enix as Sleeping Dogs for PS3, X360 and PC. 

The game promises to combine a GTA III style open world with cover bassed shooting and far more importantly Batman Arkham style melee combat inspired by Hong Kong action flicks (mainly Infernal Affairs). Hong Kong promises to be a exotic location for an Open World game, and the kung fu action movie inspired characters and story and Hong Kong setting could be an exiting mix as long as they execute the gameplay well.

Having now played it I can safely say that it is like Mafia II and Batman Arkham City had a baby that grew up in the streets of Hong Kong. And his favourite film growing up was Internal Affairs.

When I first saw the "Sleeping Dogs 101" on my xbox, I told my friend sitting next to me, this game will be badass.

It seems to mix, the seriousness of GTA4 story telling with the more do what-ever sandbox of Saints Row, but with less perversion and more ass kicking.

Hmm, definitely looks interesting.

This game sounds like it has potential. The combat has me most intrigued as Batman has the best combat of any game out there. I'm worried about the shooting and platforming though. I hear the shooting is similar to Max Payne. Does Max Payne have decent shooting? And the platforming is similar to Assassin's Creed???? Not Good!
