Forums - Nintendo - ... And so i gave Skyward Sword a second try, but...

...  i can barely hold back the knifes when Fi, Phi, Phai, or however this ***** is called in your Version shows up. i am a Fan of Navi, but this Brat of a servant is more annoying than a 9 year old in Call of Duty ever could be. (Clarification: i am not really a fan of CoD, but  think this gives you a good picture about the rage i feel.) Everytime i am low on Hearts, not only does the game make the traditional beep-sound, the Wii Remote Beeps too - Link Flashes, and That Girls stupid Face is highlighted. (to tell me that it would be an idea to restock on said hearts.) How retarded to they think i am?

In Addition, its seriously pissing me off that i need to find a key to find a key which will enable me to find a key with which i can find another DAMN KEY... (Or Item. i do not refer to the keys in dungeons. those are awesome)

i finished the third temple (and did some stuff afterwards, like this first trial thing, which was great! , and quick moments of pure awesomesauce, delivering pure Nintendo magic showed up and all.. but most of this game so far was sooo tedious, because the majority of this game was a Girl trolling me by playing the Captain Obvious, or Itemhunt extreme. (leave alone that i, who would have thought, need to backtrack to every local now.)

i actually WANT to like this game, i WAS a huge Fan of Zelda up to Wind Waker (to be honest, Twilight Princess wasnt shabby either), and while i am actually tempted to start playing it again tomorrow, this game shows me no light at the end of the tunnel right now...

Did the majority of u guys actually enjoy those parts? I really wonder. and hey, you might cheer me up if there is awesomesauce hidden inside that makes this entire "experience" worthwhile in the end.

I agree on every point with you, but I loved Twilight Princess and I think Midna was the best Zelda Sidekick so far. I hate this Slave of Link I mean she calls him Master right?
I hate the senseless running around and searching for some crap, and after you found this you have to search something else, and then somebody, and then you can finally get to the dungeon. It´s the worst Zelda ever, and I force myself to play it trough, just because its Zelda.

It is not too hard to please me, so I am enjoying it. Still have not made it half way though, but I hear that it gets much better. You should just stick it out. I ignore fi.

If they make a wii U directors cut they seriously need to do something about her. But it bothers me little.

they should directors' cut her out of the game.

I loved virtually everything about the game. I'm not sure if the difference between people enjoying this game a lot and the ones disliking it is simply preference in games, or if it's something to do with the ability to ignore stuff you don't in a game. Rather than focusing on all the brilliant tidbits in the game (becaus there are loads of those), people seem to get hung up in some relatively minor stuff, and let that ruin the game for them.

Zelda games are a lot about atmosphere and immersion. Largely, you have to let yourself get swept away, rather than think cynically and critically about everything that happens.

I had the game for a month before I really got into it. After I finished the first dungeon, I was hooked. I loved it. If you haven't fallen in love with it by the end of the first dungeon, I don't think you're going to change your tune. It's one of my favorite games of the gen, to be honest.

Agreed.  In my opinion, Twilight Princess is Zelda's finest hour.  Graphics haven't aged as well as I'd hoped (replayed this and Ocarina right before I bought Skyward Sword) but the adventure is still my favorite.  Skyward Sword had some truly great moments but it never reached Twilight Princess heights.

I gave up after the 4th dungeon. I just couldn't get myself to play it anymore.
