Yes Cone and I have spoken before when I posted in here about how slowly I was moving through the game.

I screwed myself out of a side quest on Valak mountain yesterday. Without spoiling anything , there is a quest in that area in which you must defeat 2 marks. I made the mistake of finding one of them before I accepted the quest. Had to defeat it (It hit me first.) . Guess what? It doesn't respawn after you accept the quest so now I have a half completed quest that cannot be finished. It struck  me as odd since there are some monsters who respawn over and over even after you have completed the quest

Anyway I've moved on with the story and am now at the fallen arm area (Level 59). I've decided that I'm going to try to finish the game so that I can play something else.

Sounds like the quest that you have to accept as Dunban. Just go to the area where the unique monster is located, save your game and keep loading it until the monster appears. It should take at most five or six tries.

Thanks Rol, that's the one. I already tried standing around changing the time hour by hour and nothing. I'll try what you suggest. I hate leaving things half done.

Looking at those high-res pics are cool, but...the last one; those character models are pretty meh :/

I had the same issue with the Zazadan Quest in the Marsh. Just save in the area, reload, repeat until it appears. The game automatically reloads every single monster and collectible every 4-5 loads.

Ok, I'm level 77 and all the quests I have available require me to kill level 80+ monsters.

I seriously need to grind.

I've been slaying Gogols on Bionis Leg just outside of Windy Cave entrance. Any suggestions on where else I can grind? The enemies in the newly opened Tephera Cave are too strong still.

Satorl Marsh has a bunch of enemies who're level 80-ish.

Hmmm... I'm only seeing the Rhagul's at 85 and the other Gogol like brutes on the path leading up toward the Statues.  Guess I need to stay on Bionis leg for a few more levels.

Thanks, Rol!

Need still level 4 and 5 of Colony 6, things are getting long.

The story in this game really takes a nose dive once you get to Mechonis...

Hmm... Puzzling over whether the bait-and-switch with Fiora amounts to bad storytelling, or good storytelling. I suppose the fact that i have to think about it says something for it, though... Otherwise i'm optimistic that i have something good ahead, the chain attacks seem to make for some exciting combat, and i do like how lenient the game is on the matter of dying

As seems to be all-too-common in RPGs, is there anything i should be doing early in the game that will, in hindsight, make the later game much much easier?

Monster Hunter: pissing me off since 2010.
