Digital can work, but the games need to be 50% cheaper as well. Limited Editons and such should still be sold physically.

I work for Gamestop but do not speak on their behalf.

But as much as it pains me to say this its happening sooner rather than later. Be prepared folks it begins next-gen.

I don't like been ripped off so I vote never.

I would love to see all digital, but at this point in time that is not possible. What I could see happening next gen, is at least one manufacturer offering a SKU without a disc drive. Another thing I could see happening is mandatory installs on all games. Then a system that ties disc games to PSN/Live account so it can only be installed on systems with a specific account logged in.

If they went this route I would require a small fee, $5 or $10 a year for active accounts. This to help stop the jerks that would create new accounts for each game.

Stop hate, let others live the life they were given. Everyone has their problems, and no one should have to feel ashamed for the way they were born. Be proud of who you are, encourage others to be proud of themselves. Learn, research, absorb everything around you. Nothing is meaningless, a purpose is placed on everything no matter how you perceive it. Discover how to love, and share that love with everything that you encounter. Help make existence a beautiful thing.

KBG29 on PSN&XBL

im all ocd about owning the game and cases, it would also be weird not seeing SW in stores, i would be bothered if it goes all digital or close to it which it will at some point. I dont think the price of the digital SW will be cheaper then it is now, i mean isnt there alot that goes into it, the case, the disk, packaging it, shipping, stocking it thats got to be so bucks saved there, but i dont think this will happen as i can get console games cheaper or the same in store than they are available digital right now. theres also issues with dling em aswell i dont think games are going to ever get smaller i dont want to have to pay alot for a super fast connection or wait long either

Huge problem I have with DD consoles. If you notice at most 50% of games on XBL have gone on sale at one point and time for a day or week. Otherwise games that came out in 2007 are the same damn price as they were on day one. With a PC/MAC you have steam, origin, gog, ect. With Sony/MS/Ninty you are stuck with their system and their store. No need to put games on sale or drop prices cause you have no other method of receiving the game.

Getting an XBOX One for me is like being in a bad relationship but staying together because we have kids. XBone we have 20000+ achievement points, 2+ years of XBL Gold and 20000+ MS points. I think its best we stay together if only for the MS points.

Nintendo Treehouse is what happens when a publisher is confident and proud of its games and doesn't need to show CGI lies for five minutes.

I like online distribution because of their sales. $34.99-39.99 online game software distribution and I do not have to wait long lines.

As an option, yes. As the only option, no.

Next gen, no.

The gen after that which might be like 2020 or later, probably.

Never, please. Physical media is much more than just plastic. And why should I let publishers dictate me their rules of distribution?
