I'm a little slow now (cause I woke up) and checked the last few pages, but cant understand what does "UE" means? What is everyone talking about o.O?

Unreal Engine ;o

UE4 coming is to be expected, since they ended up porting UE3 that was originally 360/PC only to almost everything, I think I saw a blender running it. (/sarcasm) It just that since they are a PC developer first, they will concentrate on making the PC version first, and ever since Epic said that it was going to be scalable the question is when will it come. Since they are not openly licensing it yet on their site and are pushing UE3 still (Now for Windows 8) it may be a year or so until other platforms see it.

Guys, prepare to have your mindblowns... because this game has just outsold Let's Golf 3D! I am not lying here, it is now number 11 on the eShop! You know what this means? This means the game has sold more than 500k on the NA eShop! This is beyond amazing! If you don't believe me, then look it up on your 3DS' yourselves. I can confirm this information. :)

From another post I made in the other thread:

http://www.nintendolife.com/news/2012/02/analyst_claims_eshop_made_usd11_million_in_2011

2. 3D Classics: Excitebike (Nintendo) - 481,100 Units / $1.3 Million USD (eShop)

This is what Excitebike made last year. It's been eight months since then, so it should be over 500k.
Let's Golf 3D used to be ahead of Excitebike on the LTD charts on the eShop, but now it's under it. (As of last month)

Now, New Super Mario Bros. 2 is under Let's Golf 3D. All it has to do now is outsell it and you get 500k.

Actually it may actually be over 500k because Let's Golf 3D has been ahead for quite some time. So after NSMB 2 outsells Let's Golf 3D, I'll update saying it's over 500k on the eShop. Incredible either way.

Also, check the thread to make sure you understand how I came up with this information.

As I said in your previous thread, it's a revenue thing. If we extrapolate sales data, and assume a steady increase in sales all-around, then for NSMB2 to reach 11, it would have had to sell 38,230. So likely at 40k now.

Here lies the dearly departed Nintendomination Thread.

Those Wii U prices with bundles seem to be the real deal, can't wait for September 13

More info about that November 11 release date:

Report: New Potential Wii U Release Details Appear

New details have leaked about potential SKUs, prices and dates for the release of the Wii U which seem to conflict with what we’ve previously heard.

While we’ve heard multiple reports in the past that suggest Nintendo’s console will arrive in North America on November 18, today’s listing suggests it’ll actually be on November 11.

That's according to a listing spotted on Video Product Distributors, which is a distribution company that supplies Amazon, Blockbuster and Overstock.

According to an entry on the site, the Wii U will become available in North America on November 11. Three SKUs are listed:

  • WIIU SYSTEM - GM - 11/11/12 $249.99
  • WIIU SYSTEM W/ - GM - 11/11/12 $299.99
  • WIIU SYSTEM 349 W/ - GM - 11/11/12 $349.99

While we don't know precisely what each one involves, presumably the $299.99 and $349.99 versions will contain either some extra games or other peripherals like an additional GamePad to justify the beefed up price.

I'm on Twitter @DanneSandin!

Furthermore, I think VGChartz should add a "Like"-button.

That 3 SKU system is interesting, but i don`t know if that won`t confuse some people.

From Nintendo World Report.

New Levels Coming to Mutant Mudds as Free DLC
Jools Watsham, founder of Renegade Kid, has confirmed that the 3DS will be receiving 20 new Mutant Mudds levels via download. All for the low, low price of free.

The news comes from Watsham's blog, in a post detailing why fans and owners of the 3DS version of Mutant Mudds should vote for the title to appear on Steam. "You might be asking yourself, 'Why should I vote for Mudds on Steam?' when you may already have Mutant Mudds on your 3DS, or you’re waiting for the 20 new Grannie levels to land on the eShop (which is totally going to happen btw, as a free update)," Watsham wrote in the post.

It's important to note that Watsham also confirmed the studio will continue to support the 3DS's eShop, as well as the Wii U's, should the studio find success on Steam. As Watsham put it, "Voting for Mutant Mudds on Steam = more future eShop titles from Renegade Kid."

Currently, Renegade Kid has released Mutant Mudds and Bomb Monkey on the eShop. They are also working on ATV Wild Ride 3D for the eShop, which is due out later this year. They have more original titles in the works, in addition to a Mutant Mudds sequel, due out in 2013.

Renegade Kid also recently became licensed Wii U developers.

You can vote for Mutant Mudds to appear on Steam here.

Hotel Transylvania (North America)

WayForward gives gamers a licensed "My First Metroidvania" on DS and 3DS.

Over the years, a number of developers have worked to bring the Metroid style to licensed properties. On the DS, Griptonite Games made solid efforts to bring it to Spider-Man games. WayForward also did the same thing to the Aliens series on DS last year. For the animated release Hotel Transylvania, WayForward is taking another crack at merging licensed properties with beloved Metroid mechanics.

But, since Hotel Translyvania is ostensibly a movie for children, the game feels very much like a Metroidvania game for kids. You control Mavis, the daughter of Dracula who is celebrating her 118th birthday. However, problems arise, and her distracted father won't listen to her issues. Instead, he sends her on odd quests that involve her going all over the castle.

As you progress through the game, you acquire new abilities. At the outset, you just have a jump, which you can use to jump on enemies to defeat them. Over time, you obtain a lighting projectile attack, a beam that freezes enemies so you can use them as stepping stones, and more. The progression is steady, but the difficulty does seem to skew pretty low.

If you're an experienced Metroid and Castlevania player, Hotel Transylvania will be a easy walk-in-the-park. However, for its intended audience (kids), this game might just be the best gateway to introduce them to Symphony of the Night and Super Metroid.

Hotel Transylvania comes out on DS and 3DS on September 18.

Note: I played the DS version. The screens are from the 3DS version, which appears to be the same game with an added 3D effect and possibly improved graphics.

Love and tolerate.

Capcom: The Next Gen Doesn't Start With Wii U

Posted Wed, 05 Sep 2012 | 13:30 BST by Damien McFerran

Although Nintendo will release the new game console Wii U and the market will be continue to be invigorated by the increase of DLC, time is required before the next generation console cycle begins in earnest.

Sometimes I really, really hate my industry.  This is nothing but an author that either doesn't understand what the hell "begins in earnest" means or is just looking for hits.

Morons, I tell you.
