The most interesting part of that report is that it's apparently more expensive than a straight conversion of the Yen; Nintendo hedging its bets against being hurt further by the exchange rate?

niman en? That's it?
That's super cheap, they must be losing a lot of money at that price... or maybe it doesn't come with any controllers.
These things are going to sell like hotcakes :S
Good price if true. 360 and probably PS3 will be undoubtably cheaper by the time WiiU releases though, so anything more than $300 is risky.
Knew it. No way it will be over $300(in USA)

Considering last npd showed the average xbox price was 300$ and the average PS3 was 275$ in America. That seems like a very good price. People are willing to buy current gen consoles for $300 still.
That's not a bad launch pricing point imo. I would pay that if I had real interest in a system.
Yes, but this is the place that claimed 768 MB with a 3 GHz PowerPC processor, the last point of which we know is patently false (Power7, as per IBM's own statement)
Not that i disagree with these numbers, but i do doubt the reliability of this outlet.
Monster Hunter: pissing me off since 2010.
$300 would be a great prize, and its in line with Nintendo's historical pricing of its consoles.
I could believe it, despite it only being due to my own hopes that it wont be expensive. >_>
