Million sellers update
360: 130 Wii: 119 PS3: 110

Does it really matter though? The ps2 is still leading my a country mile and most likely will for the next few generations.
And that PS2 million seller amount is probably hugely undertracked as it's so old data. PS2 will probably hold that total SW record forever or at leats very long time as I don't see any system dominating as much as PS2 did. Overall the market of course grows but it will be divided more equally.

ok idk but quote dont work for me pretty weird
^ remove the up post of me
but the total software list dont include the AP/MEA numbers and u know that...
just click on game under 0.99m and u will see it is sitting at 1m+
That, and possibly best selling home console as well. I can't really imagine any console next gen selling close to 150 million, I think it will be an even closer race than this gen.
I'm not sure how many it is now since the software numbers are screwed up, but I believe the PS2 also had about 700 million units of software unaccounted for by vgchartz. The PS1 has 536 million unaccounted for by the current numbers. It's hard to say how many more million sellers that equals, but I doubt the PS2 will be touched this generation in total software at least.
This gen (and possibly all others going forward) has seen much greater fragmentation of the worldwide market across multiple consoles and devices. So long as that continues then it's really unlikely that PS2 records like this will be broken for a long time.
To get PS2 type numbers you need to be totally dominating, and no console - not even the Wii really - has managed to dominate and get pretty much all the third party titles the way the PS2 did.
Try to be reasonable... its easier than you think...
