I am sad X-Men First Class hasn't done well in America, it was so good.

Its made enough for a sequel which is good

@pezus

even batman fans will cum for harry potter as Dark Knight Rises trailer is there in it.

The problem with X-Men is the other movies were trash if you are a real X-Men fan. That killed peoples expectations that this one would be any good. As for people going to see Harry Potter just to see a trailer...I think not.

Wow i think the movies are pretty great and do a good job of portraying the cartoons.

I think that the biggest fail of the movies is that none of the actions have any weight. Robots are falling apart, things are exploding, people are dying...but do we really care about any of that? Michael bay doesn't know how to make the audience care about what is happening on screen and we are just kinda sitting there and watching the fireworks for 2 and a half hours.

Maybe you don't care but I know people that were sad when Prime died in the 2nd movie. Actually I know a few people that cried during that part (they were females). I remember watching the cartoon when I was younger and loving it but it was really cheesy when I revisit it now. The movies capture some of that. Also the biggest problem with the movies is Transformers is supposed to be about the Autobots vs. Decepticons yet the movie has added the humans into it. In the cartoon the humans weren't much of a factor at all.

I am still puzzled to see why most people would care about optimus getting killed in the way michael bay decided to present it but sure, lets say that is the case...1 scene where people cared about on screen actions. In a series which is 7.5 hours long.

Also, compare that scene to the way optimus died in the 1985s Transofrmers "the movie" cartoon, and there is no contest. That is an awesome movie even today...

And yes, focus on humans is the second biggest problem.

And the third problem is that the plot is just retardedly dumb and motivations/actions make no sense.

Example - So Sentinel Prime and Megatron teleported 100s of decepticons to earth...and plan is to get Autobots kicked off the planet and then send Shia Lebuf with a robo spy wrist watch to try to find out what the plans of 8 autobots are once the space ship launches taking them of the planet. Lets NOT just send 100s of decepticons we just teleported to attack the autobots and destroy them to little bits.

I know michael bay or whoever wrote this thought it would be dramatic to blow up the space ship last minute and all...but actions absolutely make no sense what so ever.

The biggest problem with the plots in the Transformers movies is they are basically forgotten by the next movie. Every movie they give a totally different reason why the Decepticons came to earth. The 1st movie said it was for the cube, the 2nd said it was for energon, and the 3rd movie...well it was so convoluted it doesn't matter anymore. I mean would it kill them to have some form of continuity.

A quick check has confirmed that Pirates: On Stranger Tides has a 400 million lead over Transformers: Dark of the Moon. http://boxofficemojo.com/alltime/world/

It's visuals are the BEST in 3D...and it's 3D share is like 70%.More 3D share = more money
Harry Potter will take most of it's 3D screens this week though. It will hit a billion nonetheless.

It won't be the highest grossing movie in about a couple weeks....HP will. And HP will probably beat the worldwide gross held by Pirates in a month or 2.

Systems I Own: PS3, Xbox 360, Wii, 3DS, NES, SNES, N64, Gamecube, PS1, PS2, Dreamcast, Genesis/Sega CD, Atari 2600, Atari Jaguar, Game Boy, GB Advance, Game Gear, Intellivision, PC, Xbox, Sega Saturn, Virtual Boy

In the end,DOTM will make more than On Stranger Tides,by 50M or so.It's currently ahead of Pirates in the same time-frame,and it hasn't even opened in Japan and China. Those alone will add another 100M+

I dont understand where the confusion for their reasonings of coming to Earth are coming from.  Makes me wonder if you actually watched the movie and stayed awake or are just going off of things you heard other people say.

No! Rosie Huntington-Whiteley is a proper trout! Not even worth a first glance, let alone a second.

What he's saying is all 3 films give different reasons for being on earth. In the first film they're after the Allspark, in the second film they're here to harvest Energon and in the third film they came to meet Sentinal Prime. There's no continuity.

Optimus Prime is a real bad-ass though. Single handedly(literally) pulling heads off with firey axes!

There are a few other odd things in the film, like the fact that Optimus is about 4 times the size of Bumblebee when they're standing by the rocket. And why are the Autobots always shiny, even after the big fight in a demolition zone.
