Now. The lack of certain games, off the top of my head, makes this list stupid (Not even my opinion, just fact).

Valkyria Chronicles isn't here, but Valkyria 2 is, when everyone knows VC > VC2
Metal Gear Solid 4, the game IGN gave a 9.8, 9.9 and 10 to, didn't even make the cut.
Super Mario Galaxy isn't here, despite being one of the most critically acclaimed games of all time.
New Super Mario Bros. Wii isn't here, yet NSMB DS is... lol
Mass Effect didn't make the cut, but Mass Effect 2 is the best game this gen?
Mario Kart Wii didn't make it, yet Mario Kart DS is the best racing game this gen?
Gears of War... Despite Gears 2 being superior in pretty much every single way?

This list of games is a very, very weird list... Looks like it was put together just to piss people off.

I think they only did one game per franchise (aside from Mario but even Mario has different franchises within it). They probably thought Peace Walker was a better game than MGS4.

As I said earlier, it seems that the list only allows one game per series. Hence the absence of the games you mentioned.

VC2 over VC1? VC2 was horrible, imo. The story and characters were horrible, and the game had a lot of filler missions with recycled maps. Also, where's Bayonetta?

Anyways, props to IGN for not including MGS4. It's one of the most disappointing games I've played.

Geez, some off you get butt hurt easily. There is absolutely no reason to get upset. So what if the list didn't have a game you personally like or it's in a spot you don't agree with. There are several I don't agree with, but I know no matter how much IGN changes that list it will never satisfy everyone. The only list that matters is your own.

No MGS3 is absurd, particularly given their review of the game. Good to see Galaxy 2 rank highly though.

Good list, but Galaxy 2 should be first, and Tri, LA Noire should be in there!
